Oh my gosh… an amazing photographer used my vintage dark food photography props! Her photo is stunning and I am over the moon.
The Story Of The Piece
I sell vintage items, kitchen and otherwise on my Glamorously Vintage Etsy store. Generally I get the best dark photography props from kitchens at estate sales.
It is amazing to see the homes of ladies who have been cooking for YEARS and who have well loved pans, trays and other metal items that are beautiful in dark photography photos.
There were two of these super cool mini bundt pans / trays that was used to make small domed cakes. As soon as I saw them stacked up in the cupboard I fell in love! They were beautiful with some wear and a bunch of cool patina. I KNEW that they would make something amazing.
(To be honest I almost kept these for my home office to sort things!)
One day I got an order notification and found out one of the pans was going to the Czech Republic in the Ukraine… how freaking cool was that?
It is funny, I think I ship overseas far more than many other Etsy sellers (about 25% of my items head out of the United States).
When you sell something online, you oftentimes don’t know what happens to it Sometimes I get a review or message from the buyer that lets me know they love it, but I hardly ever get as neat a result as I did this time!
The Amazing Photo
So one day I was checking the reviews on my site and I saw the most amazing thing! The buyer had posted a picture of my little bundt tray in the most amazing photograph her mom had taken! Tatiana Kabakova from Prague had used it a photo… check out all of her pictures on her Instagram @testini_prague
she doesn’t watermark her photos but because I was sharing I added it to make sure she got credit!
It is amazing to me that something that was so cool in person turned into a work of art!
