Today’s review is from one of my favorite food bloggers of all time, Pinch of Yum! Lindsay and Bjork do a great job of presenting their recipes in a stunning and clean manner.
Lindsay is the photographer and the neat thing about her work is that you can tell right off the bat when you see one of her photos that it is hers!
This picture has 4 photography props that all work together beautifully to tell a story of using the soft cheese on the crackers while enjoying a glass of wine.
The Photography Props Review
Post Title: Easy Homemade Flatbread Crackers
Alouette Le Petite Fromage – This seems to be a product placement for this company as there is a standalone picture of two types of cheese in the post, but it is definitely not the star of this picture’s show. Instead it is tastefully placed where you can see it with the green leaves being the only pop of color in the whole picture.
Earthenware Bowl – This is a very rough and rustic bowl that fits in perfectly with the “homemade” vibe of the crackers. The edge looks a little worn, but this just gives that shadow below the bottom lip a little bit of interest.
Wine glass – It is hard to see what the wine glass is sitting on (maybe a marble coaster) but that really deep dark color takes what is functionally a monochromatic picture and makes it pop.
Antique Knife – Okay, this is my favorite part of the shot. Lindsay used an antique bamboo patterned knife (it may be the Stanley Roberts bamboo line) to show off the creamy spready-ness of the cheese on her homemade crackers.
Wrapup
All in all this is super pleasing and clean shot. The whole post uses 4 pictures with photography props (and two with just food) and each is very much in line with the esthetic of this one.
The use of these props takes what could be a bland and boring product placement picture and makes you want to bake up some flatbread for your snack today!

Highly energetic blog, I liked that a lot. Will there be a part 2?
